Study Architecture Abroad
Study Architecture Abroad – building your portfolio
Our Architecture Abroad Programme is designed for creative students wanting to gain an architecture degree in the most highly-rated institutions in Europe, the UK and the USA.
Our programme focuses on working with Mentors in order to produce an excellent portfolio and prepare for interviews to study in the UK or the USA, or at Europe‘s most prestigious and outstanding schools of architecture. Architectural admissions departments nearly always request to see a portfolio ,which can include drawings, sketches and photographs, and you will often be invited to take part in an interview, so be prepared to discuss the contents of your portfolio when you get there. Competition to gain a place on an architecture degree course is fierce, and a good portfolio can make all the difference.

The Architecture Abroad Programme was designed specifically for creative applicants who want to gain an architecture degree and carry on to pursue a career in architecture.
One of the most important elements of your application to study architecture is your portfolio. Admissions tutors will decide whether or not to invite you to interview based on the quality of the portfolio you submit. Elab will not only help you ensure your application is excellently crafted, but will also review your portfolio and guide you on how to improve and present it.
Our Architecture Abroad Programme is divided into a number of stages to maximise your chances of admission to the best institutions for taking an architecture degree. The programme comprises:
Complete a thorough diagnostic test designed to highlight your strengths and interests and determine suitable career directions.
Mentor feedback will provide Elab with additional insights and information and allow us to build up a detailed picture of your abilities and expectations
You will receive a personalised report with feedback and recommendations from the assessment process including:
– potential courses and universities
– profile, descriptions, comments and relevant statistics on selections.
Discuss findings with a Mentor and Consultant and make a final decision on the course you wish to study and the universities you wish to apply to, based on our suggestions and your predicted grades.
Working with local art schools or using one-on-one tutors, we can devise a personalised plan to create a unique and diverse portfolio
Complete necessary documentation and submit a professional application with close support from an Elab Consultant (see below)
Prepare you for the interview where you will present your portfolio and discuss related experiences, motivation and influences.
Receive advice on finding accommodation, financing and settling in.
